Manola
Robison is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and CEO
of Robison Management Consulting, Inc., since 1992. She helps
businesses make money by improving their operations, marketing, sales, human resources, training capabilities, strategy, and she coaches senior management on leadership for profitability. She also helps companies that target Latin Countries to establish strategic local operational alliances and conducts operational reviews of their local operations.
Her consultancy has helped companies achieve and sustain higher profitability through lean years and also through the growing pains of these businesses. She has experience in diverse industries such as manufacturing, specialty retail, restaurants, HVAC and plumbing and other home services, building contractors, specialists in medical field. She has also worked with utility companies in new business development strategic plans and with several non-profit organizations in strategic planning, Board coaching and executives' selection.
She is the current Chairman of the Institute of Management Consultants USA, Atlanta Chapter. Acted as COO for ICx New Heights Corporation (2006-07) and for two years (2003-05) she was chair of a group of CEOs for Vistage (formerly TEC) and for the Women Presidents Organization helping these CEOs and Presidents increase their effectiveness and enhance the quality of their lives.
She grew up in Venezuela where she worked as an architect and as a consultant of manufacturing industries like Johnson & Johnson, Lever Bros, and Toyota. She consulted for a consortium of eight real estate development companies for a $53 million project. In the US since 1983, she held store management positions with Macy's and Dillard's, and corporate positions with Rich's. These years gained her valuable experience in retail and marketing. As Corporate Leased Departments Manager she had bottom-line responsibility for 45 departments, from photo studios and fine jewelry to car tire centers and furs. In just two years she grew that division from $25 to $75 million in sales and increased gross margin by 2%. While still with Rich's, as Corporate Strategic Project Planner, she earned an MBA from Georgia State University. At that point, she decided it was time to follow her entrepreneurial vein and she opened her management consulting firm in Atlanta.
She has been guest speaker at UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso) at the Centers for Entrepreneurial Development, Advancement, Research and Support (CEDARS) for the past five years on several topics such as Strategy Formulations, Personnel Practices, Team Building, DiSC Profiling, Management of Key Executive Personnel, Leadership, Communication, Customer Satisfaction, and Change Management. She has also been keynote speaker for GWEN (Georgia Women Entrepreneur Network) and Contractors 2000 (now Nexstar).
Manola obtained her Bachelor's degree form the University of Kansas School of Architecture and her MBA from the Executive MBA Program at Georgia State University. She also holds a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry Formation from the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta.
Manola is Past-Chair of the Board of Directors of Partnership Against
Domestic Violence. In addition to her involvement in professional organizations such as the Institute of Management Consultants, Leadership Atlanta, The Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management, National Society of Hispanic MBAS (NSHMBA) and other community service organizations, Manola and her husband Richard have
directed community musical theatre productions for over 20
years. Richard and Manola have been married for over 32 years and have two daughters Amy (Executive of a non-profit organization) and Harriet (Lt. Harriet Johnson, US Navy- Helicopter Air Commander).
